Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation

A methodology developed by Donald J. Kirkpatrick to measure learning and training effectiveness, as based on the following four levels: 1) Level 1- measures reaction; how effective an individual student rated a training event 2) Level 2- provides a test to measure the increase in knowledge or learning as a result of the training 3) Level 3- measures the extent to which the training changed the behavior or capability of the student in the workplace 4) Level 4- measures the improvement or effect on the business or process as a result of the training.
